Was in the hot tub last night, with the pump/heater going, and just kinda spacing out as I watched the clouds move past the moon.

 Over the sound of the pump I heard a rustling in the dry leaves beside me. As I sat up straighter and turned to see what it was, all hell broke loose, as a pack of coyotes, who were REAL close, busted out in all directions. 

Didn’t realize what/who it was until I saw two of them trigger the neighbors motion detector light. Then I kinda freaked cuz they had been within about 2-3 feet of me. I’m sure they were hunting, under cover of the noise from the pump, and were probably after the rabbits who live under the deck, right below me, not knowing I was there.

At least this time they ran, unlike last time when they didn’t move, in spite of my yelling, until my neighbor heard the commotion, turned the light on and came out.

That was WAY worse, cuz they were treating me like food, but this was exciting enough....
