Even after he’s gone, we’re forced to deal with Dotard’s decisions. One of his WORST was to move the Space Command HQ from Colorado Springs to Huntsville, Alabama.
We all know WHY, and here’s a hint for the clueless(R). Colorado is a Blue State and AL is strongly Red. And even though the AiR Force is HQ’d in the Springs, beside Cheyenne Mountain, which is a ‘hollow’ mountain containing the US’ most fortified base, safe from any missile attacks, and the base is a mile higher than any in AL, saving distance and fuel for launches, and all the personnel and infrastructure for the current Space Command is located in and around Colo Springs, the Trumpies decided to ‘Move It All’ to Alabama, where the Trumpies rule.
Asked ‘Why?’, the Trumpie appointed brass said thy couldn’t comment, cuz the move wasn’t complete. And of course, Security! We’ll find out why, (which we already know) after the move is a done deal.
Same old shit from the party of graft, corruption and hypocrisy. Nothing new here, as the govt will waste BILLIONS, lining the pockets of Dotard’s minions, and Guess Who picks up the tab, while our defense is weakened. Oh yeah, remember this is the party of ‘strong defense and fiscal responsibility’.
Excuse me while I laugh my ass off.
The Air Force continues to refuse to release the documents that show details of how it came to its decision because the decision is not final. And won’t be until sometime in 2022 when an environmental assessment of the Huntsville site is completed.
In other words, we’ll show you how and why we did this after we do it. It’s a confounding process, made worse in a political environment where nobody trusts or believes anyone else. In this case, even when they’re usually on the same side.
Rep. Doug Lamborn, R-Colorado Springs, is a stalwart backer of the military and former President Donald Trump. Yet he was incredulous when the Air Force and Trump announced in January that Huntsville was the “preferred location” for the headquarters.
Lamborn and other state and local politicians demanded to know how Huntsville could possibly have been chosen over Colorado Springs, but those in charge have refused to speak.
