As the educated, civilized world looks at the criminal conman who leads the formerly respectable Republican Party, it is important to note just who his base actually is.

 To understand Trumpism, it is important to look at who comprises the GOP base. As has been so well documented, Trump’s popularity is rooted in the rural White base of the Republican Party. And in a recent piece for The Atlantic, Brownstein examined how the Republican majority in the House in 2023 generally represents districts with older, non-college educated, lower-income, White voters, primarily in the South, where FOX News runs continuously.

Whether you call them uninformed or misinformed it makes no difference. They THINK they know the facts, when, in reality, they only get what the Republican propaganda machine WANTS them to hear.

As the Dominion Voting Systems case, based on FOX willingly lying to their listeners, was settled for over $780 million, most of their loyal listeners had no idea of what had transpired.

And they don’t care. They just know they HATE the Dems and any Republican, even a LYING criminal conman would be better than any Democrat, because their reality has been built upon what FOX has told them.
