Broomfield is always showing up on one of the ‘Best of’, or ‘Top Places’ list, which is nice. This is just the latest one.

DENVER (KDVR) — Three cities in the Denver metro area are on a new list of the top 100 places to live in the U.S. created by Livability.

The list looked at data points in eight different categories to find the top 100, but it did not give them a formal ranking.

The categories Livability looked at for the list included economy, housing, amenities, transportation, environment, safety, education and health. Data from several federal agencies was considered, including the U.S. Census Bureau, the Federal Reserve and the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

In all, 2,000 cities were considered and 100 were chosen for the list.

The six Colorado cities on the list are:

  • Broomfield
  • Fort Collins
  • Castle Rock
  • Loveland
  • Aurora
  • Colorado Springs

Broomfield had the highest “LivScore” or livability score among the Colorado cities at 853.
