People read about
disasters where there is no electricity, BUT, unless you have been there and lived through it, you don't realize how hot/bad it is. Usually it's a hurricane, but this time it was a windstorm in the East, and I can appreciate/understand what they are going through, as I have lived without electicity/AC/ice, etc. It's kinda tough. ALSO, here in Colorado, the farmers are suffering through a drought, and as they watch their crops dry up and die, they can't legally turn on the pumps to irrigate their crops, BUT they have to run pumps to keep their basements from flooding, as the water table is getting higher. Water law, in the arid west. Crazy...
