'Brag Alert' on Father's Day,



as I look, with love, at my offspring.
If you judge the 'success' of your children by their education, career, work ethic, marriage/family life, happiness, friends, 'basic goodness/morals', 'sticking around'/(not moving away, which is YUUUGE!) and our personal relationship (friends!), I was/am a great dad, or got REAL lucky, but not sure 'luck' pertains to this situation. Perhaps 'fortunate'.
Of course it's mainly cuz I chose a great mother for my children, but still MY choice.
Bottom line, whenever I'm feeling a little down, I just look at my contribution to the world, and I immediately feel better, for good reason. Nate and Kari.
Wow, no prouder father in the world, and IF ONLY the world was full of people like them...

Great 'bargains' at the local Sprouts store

where we picked up asparagus and baby back ribs. Carol and I went for the same stuff (serarately, today), cuz it is so good, AND a great price. Had it for dinner tonight. WOW. One of my fav dinners, as the ribs start out in the crock pot, then finish on the grill, with fresh asparagus. (and bread pudding for dessert) I LOVE this time of year...

Just wait 'til Bonehead leads us all over the cliff, to save his 2% buddies having to pay a little higher tax. The Pubs keep thinking the American public is stupid, and they can get away with their phony political crap. They keep forgetting we're not all a bunch of FOXNews sheep, who'll swallow whatever swill is shoveled to them. A once proud party, like a beast in it's death throes, striking out to harm whatever's close, threatening to shut the gov't down, (again), over the debt limit, which is just paying the bills they already ran up.
