Saw Dark Tower, the movie, today



and was kinda worried, cuz it had gotten some bad reviews. But, the reviewer hadn't read the 8 book series and I have. I can't imagine trying to transfer the books to the screen, sorta like Lord of the Rings and Game of thrones....
Bottom line, not a perfect transition, but much better than I was expecting. Am hearing and hoping they (Ron Howard) will make more movies and Dark Tower will evolve into a Netflix series. Again, can't imagine turning those books into movies, but it's not unprecedented, and when it works, is fantastic.
Can't remember a book series I was SO sad to see end. The term 'Gunslinger' will never be the same....
