We recorded the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics, and over the last several days have watched most of it, fast forwarding through some dry spots.

For me, the highlight was 1824 drones in the night sky, forming a 3-dimensional globe-like earth, rotating  while several singers, including Keith Urban and John Legend, sang John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’.

Amazing!

Imagine there's no heaven

It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us, only sky
Imagine all the people
Livin' for today
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too
Imagine all the people
Livin' life in peace.... etc.
I really miss John Lennon and his amazing brain.

Great 'bargains' at the local Sprouts store

where we picked up asparagus and baby back ribs. Carol and I went for the same stuff (serarately, today), cuz it is so good, AND a great price. Had it for dinner tonight. WOW. One of my fav dinners, as the ribs start out in the crock pot, then finish on the grill, with fresh asparagus. (and bread pudding for dessert) I LOVE this time of year...

The Pubs keep thinking the American public is stupid, and they can get away with their phony political crap.
