Remember when Trump put a YUUUGE tariff on chips, from the largest chipmaker in the world?

 Well, he sure showed them, didn’t he, as they shifted sales from the US to other markets. The US has only ONE chip manufacturers and they won’t catch up on demand for YEARS.

In 2018, as part of his trade war with China, Trump imposed tariffs on $34 billion worth of Chinese imports, including semiconductors—the first of several salvos in Trump’s trade war with China. Those tariffs are still in effect, and chip imports from China have fallen as the price has gone up.

Donald Trump, the same asshole(R) who killed tens or hundreds of thousands of Americans with his LIES and incompetence on COVID, also helped wreck the auto industry in the US as well as killing exports of US goods to the world.
