My dear, departed father

was a typical Nebr Republican, who, when I asked him how he could support the Pub agenda, answered, 'I've always been a Republican, because my family was Republican', which is understandable, because there was a time, (before they were hijacked by extremists, religious nuts and Big Money), when they were 'the party of the people'. However, I will never forgive my brother, who admittedly doesn't have a clue about technology or finance, (and whose knowledge of science is limited to the Old Testament) for convincing dad to switch from the mainstream media (called that for good reason), to FOX News. Unforgivable, to do that to a trusting, innocent old man. Also, was interesting, but sad, to see the Kearney, NE newspaper, The Hub, publish a different polical cartoon everyday, with one recurrent theme. They hate Obama, and were consistent with editorial articles that could have come straight from FOX News. Solid Republican country, supported by ethanol subsidies to corn growers, (started by GWBush) that add a HUGE increase to agricultural/meat/food prices that we all pay to keep the Repub farm states 'in the fold', while producing ethanol that takes more energy to produce than it creates, and sucking irreplacable water from the Ogallala aquifer. Thanks, George....
