If every recent public opinion poll is correct, the Republican Party is on the verge of an electoral bloodbath.

While it’s typical for the incumbent party to struggle in midterm elections, the situation today for the GOP is far more perilous — and a big part of the reason is President Donald Trump’s decision to go to war against Iran, at the urging of his war criminal pal, Netanyahu.

More than 200 days since it began, it’s clear that the Iran war is a strategic disaster, and that view is widely shared by the American people. Support for the war routinely polls in the low-30s, but of greater concern for Republicans are the second and third order effects of the war.


Gas prices are up around 50% since the war began — and have spiked this month. Sticker shock at the pump has contributed to higher inflation, a more than 20% rise in airline ticket prices (because of higher jet fuel costs) and even a 1.25 percentage point jump in mortgage rates, because the Federal Reserve has been forced to keep interest rates higher.

And, the bad news for Repubs in the midterm? The polls are bad, and getting worse, as Trump’s main plan is to keep voters distracted, with his assault on the Kennedy Center, banning news media that reports the truth and plans to build a monument to himself….the Arch de Trump, to go along with his new ballroom.


At least in keeps the Epstein files, with thousands of videos, and his name mentioned  over 38,000 times, out of the national conversation.…

Saw a good movie yesterday,

that really showed how fast time flies. Argo is about the hostage crisis in Iran, 33 years ago, and has a bit of history at the the beginning, that most of us have forgotten, as in WHY the Iranian people were SO pissed off at Americans. In 1953, the popularly elected president of Iran was replaced by the Shah of Iran, in a coup directed and financed by the CIA and the US, to protect America's Big Oil interests, much the same way Saddam Hussein was installed in Iraq. The shah, like Hussein, was a despot who tyrannized the people and looted the treasury. When he was overthrown, in a populist revolution, he fled to the US, but the Iranians wanted to put him on trial. Hence, the Iranian mobs took out their anger on the US embassy and it's workers. Argo, based on a true story, tells how Hollywood helped smuggle six Americans back home, with a fake movie. Good flick that explained a lot about why 'they hate us' over there, and brought back many memori...

I'm not a Bible scholar,

so I don't know if it's tue, but I read that Paul, the 'founder' of Christianity, author of the Gospel of John, and the most prolific writer of the New Testament, never referred to a virgin birth, in ANY of his writings. Neither did Mark, the first of the apostles to write a Gospel. Matthew was the first to add it to the story. Furthermore, they referred to Jesus as being of the lineage of David, to fulfill an Old Testament prophecy, BUT, the lineage is from Joseph, his father(?). Pretty interesting, I think, and doesn't make sense to me, but I'm just a logical, rational person, not a Bible scholar. Am I just 'misinformed'?
