What's a stooge like Comey(R) to do?

After actively helping Trump win the presidency, now he's being told by the Trumpies (Priebus) to 'back off' the investigation into contacts between Russia and the Trumpies. The wild card is those damn 'leakers' who Trump has threatened  to find and crush.
What's a stooge(R) to do? We saw what happened when Flynn got caught in a bunch of lies.
Bottom line, no matter what happens, I'm guessing that they(R) will LIE about it. Why change now?
And the sheep sure don't care.....
