There's a reason


that drilling hasn't been allowed in the 'Arches Nat'l Monument' area of Utah. This place is 'off the chart' beautiful. We drive though it every time we go to Lake Powell. If you haven't seen it, you can't imagine it. Truly unique, in our Nat'l Park's program. BUT, the Bushies are trying to get their oil drilling buddies into this park. To see oil derricks in this landscape is sacreligious, BUT, that makes me a bleeding heart liberal, I guess. I just don't understand why the Big Oil companies have the right to mess up true wilderness.... Never mind, it's because the "Big Boy's "can add a few extra million to their balance sheets. BUT, it's gonna mess up a truly beautiful landscape...

Watching Rachel Maddow tonight in her interview with Robert Redford on this issue, I understand the BLM didn't know about this closed door decision by the Bush Admin. which took place Nov. 4th, Election Day, and is to take affect Dec. 19th! Amazing how this cow dung and his rodeo clowns can pull this off. One can only hope, America will realize we are losing our pristine land for a few short years of energy. Once this virgin land is raped it is lost forever. And Obama was called a terrorist??!!!

Great 'bargains' at the local Sprouts store

where we picked up asparagus and baby back ribs. Carol and I went for the same stuff (serarately, today), cuz it is so good, AND a great price. Had it for dinner tonight. WOW. One of my fav dinners, as the ribs start out in the crock pot, then finish on the grill, with fresh asparagus. (and bread pudding for dessert) I LOVE this time of year...
