Great (well documented) movie on HBO, 'Confirmation',
about Clarence Thomas being nominated/confirmed to SCOTUS, even though he was a confirmed pervert(R). Anita Hill had NOTHING to gain, while Clarence had EVERYTHING to gain, as everyone who knew them both, were on the side of Ms Hill. Twenty years later, nothing has changed, except MORE evidence is against Clarence, the perv... Every one of his previous secretaries agreed with Anita, BUT, he was a guaranteed Repub (known as Long Dong Silver, to himself), conservative vote, so he was confirmed, cuz the 'powers that be', put their power behind him, while ignoring all the information/testimony.
Nothing new here, but if you doubt the power of the Pubs, just watch the movie.
Again, those of us who know, and those who don't care to know, are nearly equal in numbers, although not even close, in the knowledge of 'facts'.
Bottom line, women lost their careers, for telling the truth, while Thomas(R), became a guaranteed (100%) Repub vote. Nothing new here, in the world of Pub politics....
