it just doesn't matter, here and now, what happened in Okla City, so long ago. Maybe I'm just late to the party in realizing that it was a big lie. I thought that there would be more, or at least SOME reaction to the fact that all 4 of the tapes, finally received from the FBI, had been altered. I guess we, as a society, are pretty hard to shock any more, and just accept that the gov't lies to us. 'Tis pretty sad....

being SO consumed, as I was with a story in the paper today. The tapes, finally released by the FBI, after years of court battles, from 4 buildings near the Murrah Bldg, blown up in Okla City, had all been edited, with approx 12 seconds, right before the blast, missing. from each one. I started doing research on it, and couldn't believe what I was finding. I remember thinking how strange, that someone smart enough to make a HUGE bomb, could be so stupid as to drive away, at 100 mph, in a car w/no license plates, and carrying incriminating information. Also, McVeigh was connected by a VIN on the rear axle of a blown up Ryder rental truck. There is no VIN on truck axles I thought at the time, and found out today, that is true. That was just the beginning. There were ZERO FBI or ATF agents injured in the attack, even though they were the supposed target. Several dozen, were ALL out of the office, that day. when you take the time to do the research, that taking down the Alfred P Murrah building, in Oklahoma City, was NOT, just Timothy McVeigh, and a fertilizer bomb. I should do a blogpost about new music. Well, I don't really hear that much, and the last one I really liked was a female artist that I heard while on my way to see them. I told him, he was gone a minute or so, then I heard it on his music system. He just plugged the name of the song into Imeem.com, and came up with the song, instantly. I was playing intramural B-ball, at Kearney State, 'cause my hair was too long to play on the college team. We won the league and went to the state playoff at North Platte, where Dick's uncle lived, so he went with us, for the game. We won, and went to the Holiday Inn bar to celebrate. I was sitting with Dick, with my long hair hanging out, while we had a Budweiser. There were a couple of cowboys, getting drunk who didn't like my hair, which was kinda unusual in Nebr in the late 60's, and they started giving me some crap. They didn't realize, the rest of my team was just walking in. Bottom line, I told the redneck to kiss my ass and he invited me outside to fight. Since I knew I had back up, and I was bigger than him, I took him up on his offer. Dick Abood and I were in shop class, which was separate building, in the 9th grade. The main heat source was a wood burning stove, in the middle of the room. As our teacher, Burt Bennett, was yelling at Dick, for using a good paint brush to spread glue, there was a loud, continuing explosion, as the bullets that Richard Nickle had thrown into the stove, started exploding. We hit the floor, thinking we were under attack, and Burt forgot about Dick's transgression. Was pretty funny at the time...

has to do with leftovers from his father's restaurant. I noticed there was a lot of good food they were throwing away, and he remembered how he had seen rats, at the public dump, eating the scraps. there is one I can't forget. Again, it was spring time, Dick had just gotten a '67 Camaro, and it was 'road trip' time again. We drove his new car to Lake McConoughy on a beautiful early summer day, rented a boat, and fished the north side of the dam, catching a bunch of white bass. Again, the short version. We had a six pack, which was fine for 2 guys, for the day, at the time. We wanted to get a sun tan, and, being totally white, after a Nebraska winter, spent the entire day, shirtless, in a boat, with the sun beating down on us. By nightfall, we had the worst sunburn either of us had ever had, and, I am sure, have ever had, since then. It was SO BAD, we had to spend the night at his uncle's house in North Platte. Dick Abood and I, with our younger brothers, decided we needed a road trip. It was early spring, lovely weather, and we had heard about rainbow trout being caught at Merritt Reservoir, in a remote part of western Nebraska. We packed basic camping gear and fishing stuff, but very little food, 'cause it was just an overnighter, and we were gonna eat trout. The short version of our adventure starts with the weather changing as soon as we got there and we fished, without success, in a cold wind, ate our hot dogs and beans, and went to bed early in our tent. We woke up to snow the next morning and it snowed all day. When it finally stopped, there was about 18" on the ground, we were the only ones around, and there was no way our old 2WD car was driving out of there. Also, I should mention, that at the age of about 35, or so, Dick suffered from a rare disease, where ALL his hair fell out, and never grew back. And I mean ALL of it, including including eyebrows, eyelashes, etc. Anyway, one of the stories I thought of, last night, was when we were starving students in our second or third year in college. I mean, we were HUNGRY, and had almost NO money. So, we pooled our cash, about 75 cents, bought a couple gallons of gas and decided to go pheasant hunting, even though it was not pheasant season. We finally got one, and cleaned and boned it in the field, so there was no evidence, and took it to my folks house, to ...

but not much obvious stuff. My golf 4-some is gettin' all messed up, cause one guy's going hunting, another is going to a Greek island for 3 weeks, and another is just chillin'. But, dinner time now. Later...

IF Obama sends more troops to Afghanistan, the right-wingers will criticize him for some alledged problem. If he DOESN'T send more troops, they will criticize him for a different problem.
