 Trump claimed people couldn’t watch a debate between him and Joe Biden because of wind power.

“Remember that? Darling, would like to watch the debate tonight? I’m sorry. The wind isn’t blowing,” Trump said.

Renewable energy has long been one of Trump’s biggest targets. He’s been known to make outlandish and false claims about wind farms. He even told world leaders at the UN that “the high cost of so-called green renewable energy is destroying a large part of the free world and a large part of our planet.”

Since returning to office, Trump has canceled or halted major renewable energy initiatives, including $8 billion worth of projects, specifically in Democrat-majority states.

Online critics largely chose to call out Trump’s ramblings as making little sense, rather than offer any substantive argument about renewable energy, as he rewards his Big Oil contributors at every turn, with oil prices up nearly fifty percent since he started his ‘war of choice’ in Iran.
