Watched the last of 'True Detective', tonight

and was disappointed with the ending. I thought it was REALLY good, through the first 95 %, or so, but the ending was hard to watch. McConaughey and Harrellson were fantastic and the scenery in southern Louisiana was SO familiar after all the time I've spent in the swampland around Houma. Bottom line, thought the ending was just too dark. Maybe it's just me, and now that I think about it, not sure what else they could have done.
