BUT, actual scholars disagree, about the authenticity of an ancient text that mentions Jesus' wife.

An ancient, business-card-sized papyrus fragment that appears to quote Jesus Christ discussing his wife is real, Harvard University announced Thursday. The fragment caused international uproar when it was revealed by a Harvard historian in September 2012, with the Vatican swiftly deeming it a forgery.
 
Scientists say the papyrus and ink is over 1500 years old and the writing is consistent with known records. The world's largest financial institution, The Vatican, disagrees, cuz it would throw doubt on their entire system of celibacy, which is responsible for their preist/young boy problem. Nothing new here...
