Those of us 'of a certain age' remember
reading George Orwell's '1984', and 'Animal Farm', where the government was taken over by a bunch of pigs, where 'all pigs are equal, but some are more equal than others'. They used 'alternative facts', issued to the sheep, with a FOX in charge. (you can't make this stuff up.)
Does 'Ignorance is Strength' remind you of someone? (I LOVE the uneducated.)
At the time, we thought it was a farce...... Now we have the Orange Clown/Pig, in charge, and many are revisiting the cautionary tale, but it's too late....
The book, written in 1949, required reading for many in high school and college, was No. 1 on the list on Wednesday morning.
