Jon Stewart Bashes Supreme Court As The 'Fox News Of Justice'

The court's reversal of Roe v. Wade was ideological, not constitutional, the former "Daily Show" host argues.

He also complained that in a confirmation process that involves hours of televised hearings, Supreme Court nominees (Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh) indicated under oath that they considered Roe v. Wade to be “settled law” that should not be substantially changed.

In the “ridiculous Kabuki theater now of justice confirmation ... they can just go out there and just fucking lie,” said Stewart. The justices, above anyone else, should understand what perjury means, he added. 

And, what a perfect example of hypocrisy, that states can’t regulate guns but CAN regulate a woman’s uterus.

  President Donald Trump’s diesel deal with Russia would supply the global market with 4.8 million metric tons, or nearly 36 million barrels total.  This is equivalent to a little more than a single day of global demand.  The U.S. is a net diesel exporter so it does not need Russian supply, said Andy Lipow, president of Lipow Oil Associates. Goldman Sachs estimated the initial Russian release would only reduce wholesale diesel prices by $1 to $2 per barrel, which is currently at approximately $200/barrel.
