It basically explains how the Pubs, through FOXNews and other blatant lies, have used the religious convictions of people to further 'dumb down' the electorate for their political objectives. If they can get the sheep to rally behind an anti-gay agenda and all kinds of' anti-science' propaganda about evolution, climate change, etc and convince them of a War on Christmas and such, they can get them to look past the important issues where the Pubs are wrecking the middle class. Devious, but VERY effective. There are no nuts like religious nuts, and FOX/ Pubs (one and the same) have learned to use that fact for maximum efficiency. The article explains it much better than I can.
