I have read nearly all of Daniel Silva’s books, featuring fictional (but historically accurate) character, Gabriel Allon, who is a talented art restorer,

But in actuality is a spy/agent of the Israeli Intelligence Agency.

One of his main associates, I can’t recall her name, uses her ability to tie seemingly random attacks by Hamas and Hezbollah to anniversaries of former atrocities. It’s in MANY of the twenty some books, (which I would recommend to anyone who loves a good, exciting, intellectual action/mystery story, based on actual events and characters.)

Anyway, it’s amazing how Sylva has AGAIN made his books so realistic.

Saturday's assault occurred on the 50th anniversary of the 1973 war, when Israel's Arab neighbors launched a surprise attack on Israel on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, on October 6, 1973

Silva has written 23 spy novels, all best-sellers on The New York Times list. Gabriel Allon, an Israeli art restorer, spy and assassin, is the protagonist in all but three of Silva's titles. The series has been a New York Times bestseller since its first installment in 2001.[5][6] Thirteen of the series' titles hit number one on The New York Times list of best sellers (Bibliography, below). Some of his novels involve Islamic terrorism, some involve Russian villains, and some are about historic events related to World War II.
