Labor Department’s Weird New Trump Meme Backfires Spectacularly After Brutal Fact Check

The claim about the president’s record doesn’t match reality.

But job growth has essentially stalled since Trump took office ― and those manufacturing jobs that the president and the Labor Department have touted simply have not appeared. 

In fact, the country has lost between 75,000 and 100,000 manufacturing jobs since Trump returned to the White House last year, and the unemployment rate has risen to 4.3%, from 4.0% when he took office, and that’s before 50% higher fuel prices work through the economy.
