The Trumpies said they’d PAY for the propaganda ads that Dotard aired, with taxpayer money…then the dickhead said NO.

 “The President was not referring to reimbursement,” a spokesperson said.. 

The president asked his budget director to fund the ads with taxpayer dollars, the New York Times reported last week, and the administration diverted $20 million from the Department of Homeland Security, despite multiple federal laws prohibiting federal spending on campaign activities. It’s unclear how much has already been spent. 

The White House has defended the Trump-glorifying ads as “public service announcements.” Democrats have asked federal watchdog agencies to tally spending on the commercials and to reimburse the money spent.

The most recent government funding law passed by Congress, for instance, states: “No part of any appropriation contained in this Act shall be used for publicity or propaganda purposes not authorized by the Congress.”
