‘Of Course The Economy Is Horrible' Ken Paxton Advisor Says Ahead Of Trump’s Texas Rally

Michelle Smith, senior advisor to Texas Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton in his Senate race, complained Wednesday about how bad the economy is, hours before President Donald Trump, who insists the economy is “great,” comes to Texas to campaign for her boss.

“Of course the economy is horrible,” Smith ranted on social media, in response to a post about a leaked audio of Paxton lamenting high gas costs.

In another post, Smith said it’s obvious “the economy is hurting everybody right now.”

Paxton’s advisor isn’t wrong; voters are deeply unhappy with the economy, and they blame Trump’s aggressive use of tariffs and his war with Iran for the high costs of gas and food. 

The problem is, Trump’s saying the exact opposite.

I’m sayin’ one of ‘em is LYING!

Saw a good movie yesterday,

that really showed how fast time flies. Argo is about the hostage crisis in Iran, 33 years ago, and has a bit of history at the the beginning, that most of us have forgotten, as in WHY the Iranian people were SO pissed off at Americans. In 1953, the popularly elected president of Iran was replaced by the Shah of Iran, in a coup directed and financed by the CIA and the US, to protect America's Big Oil interests, much the same way Saddam Hussein was installed in Iraq. The shah, like Hussein, was a despot who tyrannized the people and looted the treasury. When he was overthrown, in a populist revolution, he fled to the US, but the Iranians wanted to put him on trial. Hence, the Iranian mobs took out their anger on the US embassy and it's workers. Am really conflicted,

with the 'scandals' in Wahington. First of all Benghazi is not a scandal, no matter how hard the Pubs try to make it into one. BUT, the IRS and AP affairs have some merit, although the Tea Party (created and supported by the Koch bros) and FOX News are just arms of the Repub Party, whose sole intent is to take down Obama and the Dems, by any and all means. That is a given. SO, should the Dems just roll over when they are constantly under attack? No, BUT, they need to fight legally, and using the IRS and stifling a free press isn't right either. Not NEARLY as egregious as the last admin's behavior, but wrong, none the less. Personally, it just makes me more disgusted at the dirty game of politics that is all about the power and money involved, rather than doing what is best for the people.
