In another in a series of LIES

from FOX/Trump/Repubs, (one and the same), they are reporting that the US paid $400 million in 'ransom' to Iran, for the return of hostages. The Donald even claimed to have seen the plane, (which was the hostage's plane). As per usual from them(R), it's total bullshit.
In 1979, Iran deposited hundreds of millions in a US bank as down payment for weapons in their war against Iraq. Then, Iran took several hostages (movie ARGO) and the money was confiscated, and has been held since. As part of the deal to stop their nuclear program the US agreed to return THAT money, but the World Court was just ready to approve a LOT of additional interest, SO, the US returned that money, plus negligible interest.
BUT, The Donald/Pubs/FOX-PARP made up the 'ransom' story and sold it to the low-information sheep, who swallowed it like they always do. The legitimate news agencies reported the 'facts' of the story, while Bullshit Mountain(R) went with the 'coincidence' as PROOF that damn Obama paid ransom.
