Really gonna miss the amazing scenery and friendly people of Scandinavia AND our tour group. Had a good tour leader and some really good local guide. Lots of Aussies and Canooks in our group of 25 and got to see some amazingly sights, old cities, harbors, fantastic museums, (esp Viking history) and really enjoyed our tour group and ‘off the chart’ tour bus. Like cruising in a high end Mercedes, with wall to wall windows, great audio video, smooth power, an experienced driver and a rest room. NICE! Was SO nice to get daily pics of grandson Tre and fellow travelers started asking if the new ones were in, then it was, ‘Oh, he’s so cute’. He definite looks like all the aswedes we saw, with blonde hair and blue eyes. Thanks Kari. It was kinda funny how many times Carol and I were asked for directions, like we were locals. Haven’t been so pleasantly surprised by anywhere, with Croatia being a close second. And, the cool, damp weather has been really nice after the hot dry summer we’ve had, although thwe sunshine days have been good too. They also had a much warmer and dryer than normal year, but they liked it, cuz their summer is so short and cool here. Norwegians, as a group, are friendly, intelligent, happy, slender and light haired and blue eyed, but not so much as the Swedes, where nearly everyone has that look. The kids are SO cute, sorta like our grandson. The govt is offering all kinds of incentives, like a year paid leave for the mother and three months for the father, but the population is still shrinking. They embrace qualified immigrants, as Trump wonders why we can’t gt more Norwegians, instead of shithole country people. And also Ra, the reed boat that helped explain pyramids in Mexico. Then the Viking Ship museum, where nearly totally intact Viking ships were recovered from burial mounds. The harbor has a cruise ship just docked and lots of freighters and fishing boats, with colorful local sailors. As we enjoy the sights and people on the other side of the world, we are able to stay in touch with our loved ones and get daily pics of our amazing grandson, AND we can follow our local sports teams, as the Colorado Buffs are kicking ass on the football field, and the Broncos are also undefeated, although they’ve both had to have some fantastic finishes. And then there’s the Rockies, who’ve fallen out of first, but just barely. Yup, with (fast) internet on the bus, and in all the hotels, staying in touch is easy, although continuing to read about the incompetent ahole in the White House, ther are some things I’d just as well miss out on. Oh well, November and Mueller aren’t that far away. Just be patient and hope he doesn’t go ballistic when he gets cornered.
