if Iran is allowed to emerge from sanctions, they're gonna bring over a million barrels of oil, per day, onto the world market. This is gonna further drop the price of oil, cutting into the profits of BIG Oil, which is another name for the Repub party. Think Bush, Cheney, Koch Bros, the states of Texas and Louisiana. OF COURSE they don't want the world to have cheap oil, when obscene profits could continue to go into their pockets, esp like it did after GW's 'Oops, no WMD's' fiasco, so OF COURSE they are fighting Obama's Iran deal. They'd MUCH rather have more of a monopoly on the world's largest commodity, and a shooting war would be even better, for THEM that is. Then there's the 'rest of us', as FOX (the Repub propaganda network) works it's special magic, telling the sheep how 'Terrible' the deal is, after 6 nations spent years working out the details, which, though not perfect by any means, are much better than NOTHING or WAR!, the Repub alternative. Same old crap, from the Party of NO!
If you wanna REALLY understand the Texan/Repub/oil mentality, Read 'Texasville', or the original 'Friday Night Lights', and see where the Bushies are coming from, with their 'politics of oil', and the locals literally BEG for another Mideast war, gladly provided by GHW Bush, then his kid, GW, at the expense of the 'rest of us'. Also, note the multi-generational ties of the Bushes, starting with GHW's father, and the Saud family, another recipient of high dollar oil.
