and my little snowblower would have been overwhelmed. The snow's finally stopping, at about 10", easily breaking the most snow ever recorded here, before Dec 15th. I have a feeling this is gonna be around longer than the last few storms, that quickly melted. Am sure it'll get old, then we're off to Mexico, but so far I'm really liking the snow, as it really helps to get in the mood for Christmas. Had another great day, yesterday, lunch, then shopping, with Kari, which is always fun, then some pizza, pool, beer, music and memories with an old high school buddy. Yup, life is good, as the ski slopes are already excellent and getting better.

She chronicled various events and learning experiences and finished it up with, 'people probably won't understand, but now, in my old age, I am the happiest I have ever been', Well, I understand, totally, and who wouldn't? As long as you have your health (knock on wood) why WOULDN'T you be happy? I think the reasons are self-evident, as it's a time to enjoy what you've worked for your entire life, without the stress and responsibility. as I got showered and dressed this morning, and caught Frank Luntz interviewing a roomful of Trump supporters. Just looking at them, they looked normal, BUT, then they spoke, and it was really scary. when I saw Ted 'Sleazeball' Cruz had replaced The Donald in the lead in Iowa. Then, I realized how intelligent the rightwing voters of Iowa actually are. Their past faves have been Santorum, Palin and Huckabee. Can you imagine the howls and screams from the rightwingnuts at FOX/PARP if Obama used the same words that Winston Churchill so famously uttered during WWII, when England had MUCH more to fear than we do, today? as I met with a classmate I hadn't seen for 48 years, and we spent over 3 hours catching up. Could have gone longer, but I didn't need any more beer. Surprising similarities, as we ended up in the same area (both obviously intelligent), and he has a son, (Mines graduate) and a daughter. He wasn't able to avoid Viet Nam, but at least he got home safely, had GI benefits, became a pharmacist and recently retired. Sorry to hear of some health problems, but we ARE getting old, and he's still able to pursue his passion for bike riding, doing the week-long 'Ride The Rockies' each year, and he's married to an RN, SOO, he's 'got that going for him'. Was great fun to relive old memories and hope we can do it again sometime.
