During our trip to Scandinavia, I really loved the museums, esp the Viking museums.

One cool fact had to do with ‘Swedish Steel’, as the Vikings weapons, esp swords, were so superior.
They could cut right through regular swords, and armor.
It was because there were impurities in the Swedish iron.
Tungsten and titanium.
YUUUUGE difference, that wasn’t known until recent mass spectrograph tests.
Had a chance to handle a Viking sword. Amazingly light. Never would have guessed.
And I saw YUUUGE amounts of gold and silver, in booty and jewelry, and amazing armor and ships.
They ruled the known world for nearly 300 years.
I love museums.....
