The ‘Good Thing’ about all religions.

Nearly all religious people claim to believe that God is watching, taking care of them, listening to prayers and sometimes changing His/Her Will if they just pray hard enough.
These people are very content and pleased, cuz God is on their side, many believing their entire lives are even pre-ordained. Wow, what s stretch, but nothing is too ‘fantastical or far-fetched’ for some of them. Just don’t get into an argument/discussion with someone who has no use for, and/or no concept of facts, science or reality, which is a common theme among them.
They love their smart phones, but to think scientists know anything about ‘climate’ or the age of the earth, evolution or creation, is beyond their comprehension.
Whenever there are hard times it’s cuz God is testing them OR, they are being punished for that latest screw up (and we ALL have those).
When good times happen, God is rewarding them.
Any coincidences in daily life, which happen all the time, cuz of the millions of interactions we have, are either miracles or proof of God’s intervention.
In other words, WHATEVER HAPPENS is God’s Will, and they just roll with it, and pray more (which calms them and makes them feel like they are sorta in control), with either thanks or ‘suggestions’ for God, which makes for a really stress-free, but potentially guilt-ridden existence, cuz we all know we all fall short....
Bottom line, the religious life is soothing, if your brain can get past the irrationality and fantasy of the whole thing, BUT, for those who don’t overthink it, a calming way to cruise through life.
Not all of us have a brain that can allow it, obviously. Not my fault, but happy I was born with a rational mind. It makes life on earth SO much easier, esp when dealing with ‘the others’.
BUT, if they’re right, and there are times I thought so, a definite Win-Win, for them.
How they and theirs can hook up with the Pussy Grabber, though, is a whole new converstaion....
Normally it wouldn’t concern me, BUT, when Bullshit Mountain can whip ‘em into a frenzy, voting Republican to ‘Save our Country’, it’s time to call BULLSHIT!
