Not usually a big soccer fan,

but I gotta admit that I enjoyed the US-Belgium match, even when there was no score after regular time. Lots of great athletes, in a game I never played, or wanted to, BUT I can appreciate it, esp when it's 'win or go home' on the world stage. Tim Howard, the goalie, was fantastic as he set a record for 'saves'. Don't imagine that I'll watch any more soccer until the next world cup, four years from now, but hey, it was fun...

Great 'bargains' at the local Sprouts store

where we picked up asparagus and baby back ribs. Carol and I went for the same stuff (serarately, today), cuz it is so good, AND a great price. Had it for dinner tonight. WOW. One of my fav dinners, as the ribs start out in the crock pot, then finish on the grill, with fresh asparagus. (and bread pudding for dessert) I LOVE this time of year...

The Pubs keep thinking the American public is stupid, and they can get away with their phony political crap.
