Interesting segment on the news this morning,

about 'Happiness' during the different stages of life, after several large studies. Seems we start out happy, gradually digress to a low point, in the mid 40's, then begin to rise, becoming 'most happy' in our 60's into the 70's. Seems right to me. Might have something to do with learning basic life lessons, gaining knowledge, some assets, AND, not having to get up and go to work. However, if you believe the scare tactics of Bullshit Mountain, the world is a much different place.
