Looking back on it,
in the not too distant future, it'll be interesting to read what the historians have to say, as the FAR Rightwingnuts split the Pub party into equally ridiculous competing factions and the bombastic billionaire came out on top, heaping insult on an already mortally injured party.
Not that it should be any surprise, from a party led by the likes of Rush and Bullshit Mountain. What did they think would happen? After their last loss and the 'autopsy' that followed, they went FURTHER down the nutjob trail. Now, they're stuck with the fruits of the poisoned well.
The good news? The GOP should be 'out of commission' for at least a couple of elections, which is only good news for the country, AND the world.. ALSO, it's gonna be REALLY fun to watch!
Some typical quotes:
The Republican Party’s trek into the darkness took a fateful step in Indiana on Tuesday.
With Mr. Trump’s success, “I’m watching a 160-year-old political party commit suicide,” said Henry Olsen, an elections analyst with the Ethics and Public Policy Center, a conservative think tank.
Republican leaders have for years failed to think about much of anything beyond winning the next election. Year after year, the party’s candidates promised help for middle-class people who lost their homes, jobs and savings to recession, who lost limbs and well-being to war, and then did nothing but hurt those same people.
And now, the chickens come home to roost. Can you say President Hillary?
