Morgan Freeman's opinion is not a new one,

when he says God is the invention of man. Michelangelo, who was ostracized by the church for his anatomical dissections, was able to 'pull a fast one' on them, with his painting of 'Creation'. Most assumed it was God creating man, but the genius was saying just the opposite, with his depiction of a skull.
