In a microcosm of the US economy,

Caterpillar is getting hit with $200 million in tariff costs, thanks to Dotard’s idiotic policies, SOOOO, they’re passing those costs directly on, to consumers.
Just who does the Idiot in Chief think is gonna PAY these costs he is causing?
BTW, if it ever gets to the point where it hurts China, they will just manipulate their currency, something the US can’t do, and everyone knows, EXCEPT the jerk(R) in charge.

Tariffs will cost Caterpillar $200 million, so it's going to raise its prices

  • Caterpillar says it expects recently imposed tariffs to shave off $100 million to $200 million from its bottom line in the second half of the year.
  • It says it intends to largely offset these impacts in part through price increases.

Full-scale bailout for industries impacted by tariffs would cost $39 billion, Chamber of Commerce says

  • Bailing out all the industries affected by President Donald Trump's import tariffs could cost taxpayers $39 billion, according to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
  • The president recently approved $12 billion in aid to farmers, even though some of them said they didn't want it.
  • Prominent congressional Republicans opposed the bailout, which a Chamber official called "a slippery — and costly — slope."
