I wasn't there, so I don't know,

but I wonder if Ben Carson was a total bad-ass, stabbing people and beating them over the head with a hammer, OR, if he's just told the story, SO MANY TIMES, embellishing it each time, that he actually believes it, as the 'getting saved testimony', is a big part of the Christian experience, and the more interesting you can make it, the more the Sunday School class pays attention.
I have an 'acquaintance', who smoked some pot, popped a few diet pills and did some 'acid', that he didn't handle too well. BUT, to hear his story today, he was a hopeless drug addict, who barely escaped an early death, or a lifetime in prison, before Jesus 'saved' him. Am not questioning his faith, BUT, I was there, and he was a real lightweight, compared to many of the characters around those days, who easily slipped out of the drug scene, without any divine intervention.
Now, I'm wondering the same thing about Gentle Ben. Are his stories real, or is it a product of his imagination, as he tries to impress others with his 'miraculous salvation', like some I have known.
Either way, he's not even CLOSE to presidential material, and I can't imagine the mindset who thinks he is, other than just being another rightwingnut sheep, with no sense of reality, thinking Dr Ben can step in and clean up centuries of entrenched bureaucracy, throughout the govt, with ZERO experience. Nothing new here, but sad and crazy, just the same.
