If Gardner is what Colorado votes for then we deserve it. You have to stand in awe of the breadth of irony and hypocrisy in American society, which pales in comparison to the ignorance, apathy and fear. Travel north to Larimer county, where you will find a strong inverse relationship of intelligence to truck size/motorcycle noise – just a small cross section of this Sea of Red – and you’ll see what I mean.
This is what’s called ‘just deserts’ or ‘getting what you pay for’. Unless enough people get off their butts and participate in the society, then don’t expect anything to change – in fact, expect it get much, much worse for people of color, women, GBLTQs & non-christians.


As Walt Kelly’s Pogo said over half a century ago, “We have met the enemy, and he is us.”

The Pubs keep thinking the American public is stupid, and they can get away with their phony political crap.
