The Final Game of the NCAA B-ball tourney was a fantastic game, like the two semi-final games, BUT, the refs that had been so good throughout, totally screwed the Red Raiders and handed the game to Virginia.

Watching the finals, I usually have a clear favorite, but this year I didn’t. Just wanted a good game, with the title going to the best team, and after regulation time it was all knotted up, with fantastic plays by several players.
Then the refs took over, with two TERRIBLE calls, both against Moretti, and a couple of other very dubious whistles that totally skewed the momentum and stole the game from Texas Tech.
Good news for Virginia, but it left a sickening taste in the mouth for the Raider players that will spend their lives thinking, ‘WHAT IF, the refs hadn’t stolen the game?’, much like the NON-calls that put Virginia in the finals and kept New Orleans out of the Super Bowl.
I know refs are human, and make errors like everyone else, but for the Texas Tech players and fans, this one’s gonna hurt for a long time.....
