From today's Denver Post, Letters to the Editor

I just finished watching all 10 episodes of “The Vietnam War” documentary produced by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick. Personally, I found it painful to watch. The accuracy and impact of this series will be a subject of debate for some time to come.
I firmly believe that the seeds of acrimony, division and mistrust that were planted during this sordid chapter of our nation’s history have had a negative effect on our country ever since. It is worse now than at any time since the turbulent 1960s.

Yup, during those years those of us of a certain age learned that our leaders WILL LIE to us, and the Good People with their Good Book will be right with them, sending young men to kill or be killed, for a bullshit war that accomplished NOTHING, other than to alienate a generation and lower the opinion of the US in the eyes of the world.
And as if that weren't bad enough, the assholes(R), under GW and The Dick, did it AGAIN in Iraq.
Now, the same (R);s gave us Dotard Drumpf. OMG!
